We are somewhat late in sending our congratulations to the Hillstead family of Cannon Lodge No 1539. At their meeting of Wednesday 10th January 2024, held at Freemasons Hall, the Lodge had the pleasure of receiving their Metropolitan Grand Inspector, W Bro John Randall, and his accompanying Escorting Officer.

This was an official visit and coincided with a rare Initiation ceremony. The Worshipful Master, W Bro John Iszatt, vacated the chair so that W Bro Martin Hillstead could initiate his son, Mr Mikey Hillstead. Another family member acted as the Junior Deacon. The meeting was attended by 38 members and guests, making it a very special and memorable occasion.

A thoroughly enjoyable Festive Board was had by all, rounding off an extremely proud day for the Hillstead family and the Cannon Lodge.
